Killadangan House

Killadangan House is a lovingly restored period house overlooking Clew Bay on the outskirts of Westport town. A Georgian style building, it was erected in the 1850’s as a grand estate house for the land agent of George Bingham, 3rd Earl of Lucan, who was the overseer of the lands that stretch from the Barony of Murrisk in West Mayo to the Delphi Valley in the South.

At Killadangan House, we offer luxurious self catering accommodation to guests who want the close proximity to the many amenities of Westport town, but also want the privacy, space and luxury of a grand country house. We offer exclusive private rentals (minimum two nights) to families and groups all year round. This is a wonderful house in which to spend time with family and friends exploring all that Westport and the Wild Atlantic Way has to offer.

Killadangan House sits on an imposing elevated site in the shadow of Croagh Patrick within minutes of Westport town. The spectacular panoramic views from Killadangan stretch over Clew Bay to Mulrany, Achill and Clare Island beyond.

Don't Take Our Word For It...

“This house exceeds all expectations. It has been lovingly restored to the highest standards imaginable. We were hugely impressed with the space and elegance, the comfort and cosiness of the many rooms. Rachel was, from the outset, helpful, welcoming and charming and looked after us wonderfully well. We adored her. The stove was lit and everything we could have wished for was provided for our convenience. I have rarely seen such a well equipped and stocked house. Firewood, wellies, tea lights, flowers, napkins,...Bathrooms were fully stocked, towels, robes, slippers, Irish toiletries..... The attention to detail and standards of excellence in this house are quite extraordinary. If you have a crew of up to 10 and the slightest inclination to spend time together in luxurious surroundings, look no further. It was an absolute joy to spend a family weekend in Killadangan"

Jessie, Dublin, Tripadvisor Review February 2020

“With our original wedding venue cancelled due to Covid 19 our hopes of having our wedding were dashed until Rachel reignited them in Killadagan House. The most beautiful house with an elegant, cosy interior and rustic charm we celebrated our ceremony and had our after celebrations with our family and friends here making it the most memorable day. Rachel we are so grateful to you for making our dream happen at such short notice - bubbly character, so helpful and fantastic contact making our wedding stress free. A day we will never forget."
